Accessibility statement

This website is run by the Edinburgh University Swing Dance Society. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, as inclusion is a value very close to our hearts. We are trying to ensure that our website is:

  • Easy to access for anyone with visibility impairment, whether it is though zoom, colour patterns, and accessibility of the categories.

  • Easily navigable using just a keyboard

  • Navigable with any text-to-speech softwares and screen readers

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • You might experience some deformations of text when zooming in at high level

  • The gallery section for our past events does not feature a subtitle below every picture

We’re always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems not listed on this page or think we’re not meeting accessibility requirements, please do contact us.

We have tried our best to ensure that this website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.

Our videos are subtitled automatically by YouTube, therefore some mistakes might appear. We want to apologise for that, and we are happy to provide you with any help necessary to better understand our videos.
